Dr. Elizabeth Paitel, Post-doctoral researcher
Elizabeth is in her fifth year of Interdisciplinary Neuroscience PhD program at Marquette University, specializing in Behavioral and Cognitive Neuroscience. Her research is the Aging, Imaging, and Memory Lab primarily focuses on using non-invasive neuroimaging approaches like EEG and fMRI to characterize neural patterns associated with risk for Alzheimer’s disease in healthy, cognitively intact adults.
Elizabeth is grateful to the McNair Scholarship Program, Dr. Lopez, and the DDM Lab for the opportunity to discover her enthusiasm for cognitive neuroscience research and develop her applied skills with EEG and event-related potentials, which have become a cornerstone of her research program. She looks forward to continuing the legacy of exceptional mentorship leading her own lab after completing her PhD.
